THE STUDY TEAM

The project leaders (multiple principal investigators) are: Dr. Tom Greenfield, Scientific Director of the Alcohol Research Group, Public Health Institute, and Professors Kim Bloomfield of Aarhus University, Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research, Copenhagen Denmark, and Sharon Wilsnack of the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine & Health Sciences. The project includes a large team of international scientists working together to analyze alcohol’s harms to others in 36 countries.  The project is funded by the U.S. National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism under grant number R01AA0238700opl, and involves collaborators at five study sites.
